Tom Sietsema: Atlas Room

Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema offers a very favorable review of the Atlas Room. For some great photos check out this Going Out Gurus post, or the Atlas Room's new website. By the way, if you haven't been for brunch, you'll want to check out the menu. They have the standards, but venture a bit into uncharted territory as well with options like the curried bean ragout and the lamb empanada.

The food is incredible and everyone knows it so I have nothing to do but critique the new web design. 1 million times better than the previous, just ditch the splash page, title the "Facts" page "Home", and call it a day.

Great job.

SO glad they redid the website. A great restaurant like Atlas Room deserves better then that bloated Flash monstrosity they had before.

This place is great if you haven't tried it yet. I think it's the best restaurant on H St. to date.

I've been to the Atlas Room a few times now and last time I had a chicken dish and a beef dish (my wife and I split each) AMAZING. It was hands down some of the best food I've had in the DC area. They also put a lot of thought into their cocktails. I had a chance to meet the chefs a few times and they seem like really great, hard working guys. I hope we see a few more places from these guys in the future.
