The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) (5-7pm)
CHAW presents Urban Nature by oil painting artist John Morrell. Urban Nature is a series of paintings that explores the psychological and sublime effects of nature even in densely populated urban areas like Washington . For more information about this exhibition click here.
NOTE: There will be NO Saturday morning “Drawing from the Figure” open studio featuring models from the Washington Figure Models Guild in observance of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Conner Contemporary Art (10am to 5pm)
This will be your last chance to catch see three concurrent solo exhibitions by Jeremy Kost, Joe Ovelman and Geoffrey Aldridge. Kost's Polaroid and cibachrome photographs reveal intimate glimpses of constructed identities and sexual personae in urban club scenes. Ovelman explores sexuality and the subversion of social norms with a series of new sculptures. In his videos Disco and Bath, Aldridge employs an emblem of gay culture- the disco ball. Also on display are two *gogo art project installations by Jeremy Flick and Patrick McDonough. Flick's A Unified Theory of Everything is a large site-specific wall painting in the gallery’s courtyard while McDonough’s awnings can been seen above the doorways of the businesses on the 1300 block of Florida Avenue NE.
