Homicide in the 1300 Block of Levis

A man in his sixties was found stabbed Sunday evening when police responded to a call of trouble at a rowhouse in the 1300 block of Levis. Reports indicate that there was duct tape affixed to the man's head. This is in the Trinidad neighborhood.

Full coverage:
Washington Post, Homicide Watch DC, WJLA, NBC4.

More info from NBC4: the victim was 61 years old and lived in the basement of the residence. Apparently the rowhouse had been chopped up into separate living spaces (around four people lived in the house), so this sounds to me like a rooming house situation. Police have not released the cause of death (stabbing?), and would not say whether it appeared to be a home invasion situation. My guess would be not.

ABC7: The victim's name is Glenn Scarborough. Neighbors described him as quiet.

Very sad.

This is an unfortunate turn of phrase:

I worked with Glenn sometimes. He always remembered to ask about my son. He was kind of a clown, but he surely didn't deserve this.

But I thought NBC4 said Trinidad was hot??!?!!?
