I mentioned before that Red Palace's new patio is now open for business, but now I have some photos (provided by Red Palace) that I'd like to share. More pics, and press release info after the jump.
Since merging buildings and opening in November of 2010, Red Palace has quickly established itself as a premiere venue for live bands and alternative, side show artists and burlesque acts. Since that opening, indie favorites such as Foster The People, Diamond Rings, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, Young The Giant, Small Black, Future Islands, Marnie Stern, Esben and The Witch, Telekinesis, The Love Language, OFF!, Kevin Devine, Lia Ices, Gold Panda, Sharon Van Etten, The Fresh & Onlys, Frank Turner, and many many more have been spreading the word about the venue. Along with the popular, creative and one of a kind variety shows, Red Palace has propelled itself as a one of a kind performance space.
We are proud to immediately announce the opening of our patio. This brings another popular addition, and favorite outdoor space to socialize and enjoy the DC evenings. Rather it be prior to a show in anticipation or following to discuss the performance, Red Palace is fully aware that its fans are eager to enjoy this area.

On another note, DC Style is Real mentioned that Tru Orleans has a soft opening late June, and the real opening July 7th. Any updates on that Inked? Thanks.
H Street Landlord,
I'll have to check on that one.
According to the facebook page, the "official" opening is July 15

I'm noticing a somewhat sly trend among H St locals toward multiple openings and extended PR campaigns, not unlike the US Presidential election. It's good to get the word out, but man is it hard to figure out when a place will really open. I was impressed that Queen Vic took it slow and steady, getting drink service down with a soft opening before moving on to food. This also served the dual purpose of adding excitement to their opening.
Anywho, I'm pumped for Tru Orleans' rooftop!
