Metro Mutts and Khan's (1125 H Street) have teamed up for a new patio doggie happy hour. It's every Tuesday from 4-8pm. H/T @HStreetDC.

We can get patios for dogs to take up sidewalk space, but forget getting the bus stop signs replaced. The merchants don't want a bus stop in front of their place, even though the bus stop was there before they were. Seems like white people have been afraid of busses since Fanny Lou Hamer.
Are you talking about the bus stop in front of Granville's? I'm a white person and I would love to get that stop back. If you think white people are afraid of the bus you should look at at the demographics of people waiting for the X2 each morning between 14th and 3rd NE.
I'm also in favor of dog patios. There is still a ton of sidewalk space left over even with the patio at Khan's so not sure what you are talking about.
The merchants have asked ANC 6A to request that bus stops be moved from the front of their places. Their paid lobbyist who attends many ANC 6A meetings posted the following to a couple of listservs ..."The requests being made by Commissioner Holmes and merchants are for more practical locations for the stops, in most cases moving them only some yards from where they had been relocated. The stops had been moved to spaces in front of restaurants that had steps which riders used as seating. This blocked their entrances. There were some unfortunate confrontations when the riders were asked to move so patrons could enter or leave the establishments." ...
After my night there, I wish I owned a bit mix vs a Chihuahua mix. Khan's is great. Really great, but the local denizens that linger around the patio to only cause problems, that really leave a bad taste in your mouth. Its terrible but it's the animals people have to deal with. I like the place. And I will go back despite the A-holes. But Muy Chihuahua mix will never go there he's too fragile
We went with our dog the other night and had no problems with people hanging around. It was fun, nice in the shade and the food was good. We'll go again, with and without the pup.

I got news for you. Those bus stops aren't coming back. They disappeared for a reason.
Will they have dog bulgogi? And by that I mean bulgogi for dogs
I'm wary of bringing my dog to a Chinese-Mongolian restaurant.
