This weekend the Atlas (1333 H Street) hosts the first comedy show in a new series called Comedy on H. DC native Ari Shaffir takes the stage for the weekend. Shaffir hasn't performed in DC in about two years, but he's been plenty busy elsewhere. He's appeared on HBO, Conan O'Brien, and Comedy Central. He's also very involved with the National Lampoon site. The weekly series itself will be mostly open mic format at different H Street locations, with a big name appearing every six weeks or so at the Atlas.
