Shawafel to Open Monday?
A reader reports that Shawafel (1322 H Street), a shawarma and falafel spot, had a soft opening last night and expects to be open for business Monday. Keep an eye out for the artery clogging french fry sandwich (reportedly the only one in town) that features fries, lettuce, tomato, a garlic yogurt spread, and wild cucumber pickles. I first reported on Shawafel back in March for an article in the Hill Rag.

Walked past and didn't see any hours but a note on the door says they're open at 11am on Monday.
