The Fourth Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival (Saturday 11am to 5pm)
If you missed last week’s H Street Festival or wish you could turn back the clock, look no further than the Fourth Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival. With dozens of local artists and artisans selling their work, live music, including an African Dance Troop and fresh, freely flowing beer from local brewery Franklin’s, this festival is not to be missed. Parking is free and a free shuttle will ferry riders between the West Hyattsville Metro (green line) and the festival.

Animal Tales and Other Mischief (4pm to 6pm)
Ellen Cornett, a local artist and one of CHAW students’ favorite instructors, has created a new body of work using her renowned pastel technique. The exhibition entitled Animal Tales and Other Mischief visually interprets childhood tales with subtle twists and turns in a vibrant palette that never disappoints.
