WP Notes Two Local Food Trucks
Photo by Frozentropics Flickr pool user philliefan99
The Post wonders whether more brick and mortar restaurants should take their fare to the streets in the form of mobile kitchens. The story mentions Dangerously Delicious Pies (1339 H Street) and Langston Bar and Grille (LINK PLAYS MUSIC, 1831 Benning Road), both of which started on the H Street/Benning Road Corridor. Did you know that Matt Ashburn of the Capital City Diner (1050 Bladensburg Road) originally dreamed of running a food truck before finding the diner on eBay?

*Yawn*
I should start a truck that serves raccoon...
Doesn't explain why their fruit pies cost more than those are real gourmet bakeries. I guess is novelty. I avoid them after the first time. $7 for a slice of fruit pie... well I've gotten more out of losing money.
