It's actually a photo from early spring, but I don't recall it being that late (maybe 8 or 9). I think I was coming from work. You can see in the photo that Souk is still open.
Thanks for the lovely image FT. I know you always receive an array of comments, many of which can be unnecessarily rude. But I wanted to say for the record, that I LOVE reading your blog, keep up the good work!

I suspect most people who have real jobs are at home in bed at the time this person took the photo.
umm... it's mid November. It's that dark before 6:00pm.
The uncredited picture was most likely taken by the FT blogger who has done an incredible amount of good for our neighborhood- both day and night.
I shouldn't dignify your rudeness with a reply, but I guess I had to.

Is Souk now closed for good? What about their plans for a wine bar on the corner of ... 12th?

dcer- I think she meant that it was early in the evening, and Souk hadn't closed for the night.
It was open for business last I knew....
dcer,
Souk is open. I pointed out the lit open sign to show that the hour was not that late.
I'm going to revise the time down to 7-8pm as I see that Family Dollar is still open in a photo the same night.
