THIS DOG HAS NOW BEEN REUNITED WITH HIS OWNER
A reader writes in with the following info on this lost dog:
Found a well-behaved and seemingly well-trained male dog this morning
at approximately 8:00AM on the intersection of 8th Street NE and
Florida Avenue NE. No collar or tags. He looks like he just had a
haircut, so from his neck back is shorter than his head hair. Please

If you can, take him by a vet to see if he is microchipped. I recently found a dog that was. Hopefully the chip is registered to one of the services which will point him home. Union Vet on 600 Blk of 2nd can scan him. Probably elsewhere too.
I met a man at the corner of Maryland and 12th at approx 11:30am today (1-21-12) looking for a lost dog with a similar description... i think the name was "Jasper".
