Women for Drew Hubbard is hosting a Happy Hour for anyone interested in meeting the candidate for the Ward Five Councilmember seat.
It's at Jimmy Valentine's (1103 Bladensburg Road) from 4-7pm Saturday March 31st.
Full announcement after the jump.
We would like to personally invite you to the Women For Hubbard Happy Hour. Drew Hubbard is running for the Ward 5 Councilmember seat in the May 15, 2012, special election.
Drew's extensive experience in legislative affairs both on a national and local level make him the perfect candidate for the Ward 5 Councilmember.
Drew has experience in working with Congress as a Congressional staffer for Congressman Earl Hilliard, an opposition researcher for the Democratic National Committee, Legislative Director for then Councilmember Kwame Brown, Congressional Liaison for former Mayor Anthony Williams, and as a Director for Councilmembers Marion Barry and Michael Brown.
As Councilmember, Drew will use his experience along with the relationships with community and business stakeholders, residents, and city officials that he has developed over the past 8 years to address Community and Economic Development, Workforce Development, Workforce and Affordable Housing, Education Equality, and Public Safety matters.
We hope that you are able to join us, so that we can personally introduce you to Washington, D.C.'s next Ward 5 Councilmember. In the meantime, to learn more about Hubbard's candidacy, please visit his campaign website at www.hubbardforward5.com.
Sincerely,
Fundraiser Co-hosts: Tina Laskaris, Jacque Manning, Faith Gibson Hubbard, Latrecia Wilson, Meridith B. Zimmerman, and Gladys B. Hubbard.

Is it open bar?
I would have shyed away from some his work assignments.
I would not wish to be know as having been on the payroll of either Marion Barry or Kwame Brown.
3:26,
I would assume that it is not open bar.
Sounds awesome - thanks for the heads up!
I heard it is open bar.
There WILL NOT BE an open bar. It is an event in support of Drew Hubbard and making the community aware of a local Ward 5 business.
