New French Restaurant Le Grenier to Open Soon

The correct Twitter address is @LeGrenierDC, but the info about Le Grenier opening soon at 502 H Street comes from a reliable source. The owners are the same ones behind Le Chat Noire in Friendship Heights/Tenleytown. Lots of action in the western end of the H Street Corridor right now.

Sorry. It's @legrenierDC. Was on the street and away from the computer.
I had stopped by after seeing the door open. Owner was working and gave me the update. It looks very charming - and French!
Their other place, Le Chat Noir, gets very good reviews as a neighborhood favorite with excellent prices and good wine lsit.

Good news. They have been working on that space for some time.

So what is the correct address?

I'm looking forward to trying this place out. I used to work in Friendship Heights and visited Le Chat Noir a handful of times. It's a decent, casual experience that's at a reasonable price point. Assuming they get a good staff in there, the restaurant should be a nice addition to the neighborhood.

I am happy we are now at a point that restaurants are getting ready to open before I have even heard that they are coming. Used to be that I would be eagerly anticipating the opening of a restaurant that I'd been reading about for months.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Le Granier!

I live right near this place and have watched it transform from a building with a tree poking through the roof (from the inside) and a back yard that was an informal dump--to what it's soon to be. In the last few months, they built a fence around the back, painted the whole building--that's when I could tell it was really happening.

OT:

I think the building that was going to become the highly anticipated Xclusiv has a For Lease sign on it. Change of plans?

Is this in the flower shop that just closed? Or next to it?

This great WELCOME to the neighborhood. It is so refreshing to how H street has grown from back in the day when I purchsed in 1998.The only thing that we had to look forward to as food options was/is Youngs Carry-out.
