With all the focus on the height... did you see, from the rear, how the upper stories appeared to be resting on a tiny (maybe half-inch) ledge on the brick wall of its neighbor to the east?
I am just glad that the shoddy construction happened now and not when it was finished and occupied. At least there was nobody in it when everything went to hell. To bad it looks like it damaged someone else's property.
I saw somewhere that it may have had a stop work order posted.
