Undetermined Death: 200 Block of I Street, NE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating an undetermined death which occurred in the 200 block of I Street, NE.
On Monday, December 17, 2012, at approximately 3:28 pm, members of the Metropolitan Police Department First District responded to the report of an unconscious person inside of an apartment in the 200 block of I Street, NE. Upon their arrival, members located an adult male who was unconscious and not breathing, lying on the floor. Members of the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined that there were no signs consistent with life.
The decedent in this case has been identified as 37-year-old Joey Edward Belcher of Northeast, DC.
An investigator from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia responded to the scene and transported the remains of the decedent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia, pending an autopsy.

The Examiner (I know) is reporting that the late Mr. Belcher was co-owner of Sticky Rice DC and a partner in 1905 and Dangerously Delicious Pies.
