Reminder: Important Meeting on the Future of Florida Avenue Wednesday


I wanted to remind people that you really should plan to attend Wednesday's meeting if you live/work/travel on or near Florida Avenue NE. The meeting will cover traffic/pedestrian safety, parking, traffic calming, multi-modal transportation options, and other operational enhancements. Full press release after the jump.

Public Meeting for Florida Avenue NETransportation Improvements (Washington D.C.) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is hosting the first of three public meetings to guide the Florida Avenue Multimodal Transportation Study.   Members of the community are encouraged to attend this meeting to discuss the future of Florida Avenue NE from New York Avenue to H Street and Benning Road. The study will evaluate traffic safety, streetscape, and operational enhancements to improve this important corridor.
