Maybe the headline should reading "No shooting at 8th & H Street?" since most of the article cites sources casting doubt on the allegation that a shooting occured at that intersection?
Wylie,
We did have at least two credible news organizations reporting a shooting at 8th & H.
Whew. Glad it didn't actually occur in our neighborhood. Property values are still safe!
Uh...2:22:00pm....I'm pretty sure less than one block from the Argo is still "our neighborhood"...at least is is MINE. Bring back the registration please:).
Sustainable,
That guy isn't a real commenter, just a troll. Ignore him.
Wait, I thought guns were illegal in DC. Oh I just remembered - they're criminals...
funny. i had a neighbor that actually had a crossbow (arrow gun) because those are legal, and guns are not. i'm sure some of you may know him...
yeah, he was a public official.
anyway. it was a small one that you could hold with one hand. and it was powerful!
dunno what's worse.... guns, crossbows, knives, brass knuckles...
Surprise!
Guns ars not illegal in DC anymore so law abiding citizens can protect themselves from idiots and morons.
You have to go through a licensing procedure to own a handgun in DC, but now it's legal. I have no idea how arduous the process is to get a license. I don't think you can sell guns in DC...or at least there are no gun stores in the city. Which will suck when the Zombie Apocalypse starts, because I'll have to bike to VA to get a gun from an abandoned store. Ha.
you can also own and operate what are considered "antique weapons" without permits. such as rifles from Korean war time etc. still deadly protection against home invasion...but no DC paperwork!
