A neighborhood resident reports that Bardo might open on Monday night. Bardo is located in the 1200 block of Bladensburg Road (between Meigs Pl & M Street). I have confirmed with the owner that they are planning to TRY to open Monday night. Stop by after 5pm. They will also have cornhole, and maybe even a movie.

i drove by, and it looks the same as it has for months. hard to believe they'd be opening.
Not true. It looks way different. They have lined the site with stainless steel vessels, there are several shipping containers stacked together, there is a walk in (I think) and lots of picnic tables. Not sure it looks ready for prime time but they've definitely been doing something.
What's the deal with the photo of the architectural plans? The guy has intentionally folded over the portion of the drawings that typically identifies the architect and has the architect's seal and signature. Why?
Is it an outdoor only space? Gonna be a hot week to be sitting outside, at least for me. And the idea of walls of stainless steel vessels make it feel hotter already. :-)
any word on if dogs are welcome?
I am sure they are welcome. Plenty of space. Here right now and its a good crowd at least 30 ppl.
Several people brought dogs while I was there and they (both dogs and people) were welcomed.
