Amazing Lineup of Fun Youth Events at Rosedale Library

I just received an email alerting me to a ton of fun educational upcoming events (some including snakes and superheros!) at the Rosedale Library (1701 Gales St). The full email appears below:
There's loads of fun for children, pre-teens and teens at Rosedale Library (1701 Gales Street NE) this month, including science themed events and a chance to see and learn about reptiles and ssssssssnakessssss! Plus extra summer hours for Story Time for the little ones, and “Summer Reading Power Hours” for kids and teens.
Thursday, August 7 at 5:30 to 6:30 – “Game Show Power Hour” - Tweens and Teens (ages 10 to 19) can challenge themselves and each other with fun games that test and train the body and brain. If you like game show like “A Minute to Win It”, “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” and “Family Feud” then this is your Hour to shine.
Monday, August 11 at 11 a.m."Reptiles Alive!" - Get an exciting introduction to the world of reptiles. Learn snake secrets and laugh at lizard stories and turtle tales. Meet cute crawling critters including a boa constrictor, tortoise, lizards and other exotic creatures.
Monday, August 11 at 2:30 – S.T.E.A.M Theme Hour – A great hour of creative book- and web-based crafts and activities that incorporate math, science and art.
Tuesday, August 12, 2:30 to 4 p.m. – “Kids Love Karaoke” – If your kids (ages 6 to 12) dream of auditioning for “American Idol” or “The Voice”, they can practice in front of friends at Rosedale Library.

Wednesday, August 20 – “SUPERFEST” – Bring your inner Superhero to the Library. Celebrate Batman, Superman, Catwoman, Captain America, The Green Hornet and all the great superheros in comics and manga. Guests will include the DC Anime Club.
Friday, August 22 – Celebrate DC Public Library’s Summer Reading Program Finale! –Join us for a celebration of the DC Public Library Summer Reading Program. Music, games, outdoor fun and a chance to win prizes. Celebrate YOUR summer reading accomplishments with friends and Library staff.
And…
“Summer Reading Power Hours” every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sat urday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. -- Children and teens have an entire hour dedicated to silent reading and listening to various audiobooks!
“Summer Reading Story Times” - Every Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. -- Children ages birth to 5 (and their caretakers) are can enjoy a story time that includes songs, stories, action rhymes, and fun! (Note: Please be aware that there will be no story times from August 18 through September 5.)
