The Ohio as it appeared in 2006
Local blog
District Cuisine has details on
OhZone Lounge (website under construction), which is coming to 1380 H Street. The space was last occupied by the diner style Ohio Restaurant. District Cuisine reports they will have a patio (HUGE outdoor space on that corner), and rooftop deck. As promised by the sign currently posted in the window, they will have live jazz some nights.

The name "OhZone Lounge" doesn't inspire much confidence.

Kenny G:
I hope the draft prices are not a typo (not holding my breath though...).

Sam Adam's

Kenny G,
I'm assuming much of the current content is just filler generated by the web design folks.
Which might explain why someone just made the site inactive.
The site's still working for me. I'm thinking all prices are tentative. The beers are too cheap, and the food is too expensive.
4:02,
It's loading for me know. Check thisout.
Also this.
I'm glad to see this space get something amazing, but I will miss the jokes. I'm from a broken-down part of Ohio, and every time a hometown/college friend and I passed this space we got a wicked case of the giggles about how a boarded up business *perfectly* reps for our roots.
Hahah oh man. This is definitely the next Da Luft. Was reading their Yelp! reviews last night for jokes. I guess what I don't understand is how someone can get the type of capital to create a place like Da Luft and be so off the mark on what the community likes. I mean-they can't even make it work with their targeted demographic. Say what you will about XII, but that place was packed every weekend.
a few weekends ago there was emergency personnel outside Da Luft. I heard rumors that it was food poisoning. Can anyone verify?
1:30,
I suspect the ambulance might have been for this.
Remember when Da Luft billed itself as a seafood restaurant in front of the alcohol board? lolz
16$ for a spinach salad? hmmm...
I've been to Da Luft and the food is actually good...on par with most of the offerings on the street. They do well on the weekends so I expect they'll be around awhile. With that said, I'm excited about Oh Zone...the name is trying too hard but then again so are the names of most of the establishments on H. I just want good food without the gimmicks...forget Thai...can we get a decent brunch spot?
Forget Thai? Forget you, dude.
Yeah, no way they will have Leffe for $2.
