Krampusnacht on H Street
The evening started with a fire show.
A large crowd of all ages gathered.
There was even a kids' activity table.
Complete with Krampus masks and coloring pages.
The organizers made sure to offer ASL interpretation so everyone could join in the fun.
Krampus patrols H Street.
Krampus asks passersby if they've been naughty.
A short Krampus joins in the fun.
The procession moves down the street.
Santa works the crowd.
Snapping selfies with Mrs. Claus.
A sousaphone playing Santa delights the crowd.
And then he lights up the night.
Krampus sniffs a boy for naughtiness.

Suggestion: rename blog from "Frozen Tropics" to "Krampus Topics". :)
Fletch,
I do greatly enjoy Krampusnacht.
I'm sorry i was sick that night, it seemed like great fun.
Elise,
think we can get one of those Hay New Years goats?
Set it up somewhere and burn it on new years at midnight?
Pat,
I think you might need a flight to Sweden to catch one of those in person. Sounds a bit ambitious for H Street.
She likes big Krampuses and she cannot lie...
