Thursday, January 8

Studio 21 – 6 p.m.

Dance Place and maDCap exhibit the works of Reza Ghajar in Painting Pain. Ghajar explores aspects that remain common throughout different cultures and societies in his works. For more details, click here.

Friday, January 9

Studio Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Touchstone Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Together Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery and ArtWorks for Freedom feature the work of Kay Chernush in this new exhibit, which examines the fight against modern slavery and human trafficking. For details, click here.

District of Columbia Arts Center – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Duly Noted Painters presents the works of Matthew Malone and Kurtis Ceppetelli in Composite Allusions. The artists combine their two voices and invite viewers into the world they observe everyday. For more information, click here.

Saturday, January 10

Off-Rhode Gallery at Art Enables – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Figuratively Speaking highlights the works of sculptor Hebron Chism and painter Collin Lacey. Both artists bring the familiar of everyday life and objects into a unique an unexpected view. For more information, click here.

Harmony Hall – 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Chanel Compton’s newest body of work Pieces of You features a series of mixed media portraits of people with a personal connection to the artist. Compton’s goal with this series is to use her art as a means to connect people to one another. For details, click here.

CHAW – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Join CHAW as they celebrate their teaching artists in the Faculty Art Show and gallery talks. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the teacher-artists on a personal level. For more information, click here.

Hamiltonian – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
