Capital Fringe has put out the following press release calling for volunteers to help out with the upcoming Capital Fringe Festival:
Volunteer with the 10th Anniversary Capital Fringe Festival
July 9th through 26th, 2015
Interested in theatre and the arts? Enjoy volunteering and being
involved with your community? Capital Fringe is looking for
volunteers for this summer’s Festival!
Volunteer Opportunities starting early June through July 26th
For 18 days every July, the annual Capital Fringe Festival creates a city filled with theatre, dance, music, visual art, and everything in-between. Audiences enjoy non-stop, creative cultural experiences and artists develop their artistic visions in total freedom without any curatorial barriers from bringing that work to adventurous audiences. Our city is enriched as art takes over neighborhoods, animating the spaces of our city — from traditional theatres to corner bars and vacant storefronts.
We welcome folks from all walks of life to be a part of the Capital
Fringe Festival volunteer corps. Perks include:
- Free tickets to shows
- T-shirt
- Fringe Festival Buttons
- Community Service Hours
- Experience working with an arts non-profit
- Meeting and working with DC-based artists
- Constructing the physical space of the Festival
- Assisting Patrons with information
- Selling tickets at the Box Office
- Promoting the Festival

We can’t wait to see you this summer!
