Singing in the Rain 7/15 at NoMa Summer Screen
The classic film Singing in the Rain is showing at NoMa Summer Screen this Wednesday (7/15). Doors open at 7pm and the movie starts at sundown. All movies have subtitles. Bring chairs, blankets, coolers, and picnics. Food trucks on hand in case you get the munchies (Popped! Republic, DC Ballers, Federal City Brothers, DC Empanadas, Dolci Gelati). The film screens at Storey Park (1005 First Street). Pre-movie music by DJ Deedub. Featuring a tap dance performance by Joseph Webb & House of Tap. Upcoming films at NoMa Summer Screen: Last Dance (July 22) and Stomp the Yard (August 5).

The movies stink this year. I remember previous years they had movies like Shaun of the Dead and Red Dawn.

NomaBID sends out emails in the spring asking for people to vote on the movies they will show for the summer based on that summer's theme, so the selection is based on that. Consider joining the email distribution so that your preferences can be heard for next year.
