Thursday, July 9

Wild Hand Workspace – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Join Wild Hand Workspace for the opening of A Hand Drawn Feast by Marcella Kriebel. Kriebel’s prints can be found in many DC farmers markets and select gift stores. This is her first exhibition in Washington, DC. For more information, click here.

Joe’s Movement Emporium – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Textiles and Photography: A Juxtaposition of Silk Art and Photography features artist Diane Tuckman. Her work seeks to explore and encourage creativity from the audience. Guests will be invited to try their hands at silk painting during the opening. For details, click here.

Friday, July 10

Flashpoint Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Artists Erik Thor Sandberg and Megan Van Wagoner work together in Saturated with the Subconscious. This exhibition merges Sandberg’s paintings and drawings with Van Wagoner’s narratives in porcelain and glass. For more information, click here.

Touchstone Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Join Touchstone Gallery for the opening reception of three exhibitions. Some Like it Hot features the works of Touchstone member artists, Memoryscapes – Blurry Lines II is a new series by Steve Alderton, and Olympic Peninsula: From Coast to Ancient Forests shows a photographic journey by Harvey Kupferberg. Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Join the Anacostia Community Museum for their monthly studio tour to DC artists’ workspaces. This month’s tour will take visitors to the studios of Elva Anderson, Sharon Robinson, and DC Scraps. For more details or to register, click here.

CHAW – 5 p.m. to 7p.m.
A Journey Down the Potomac features the photographs of Jonathan Weiner. In his solo show, Weiner explores the length of the Potomac through color photographs printed from traditional slide film. For more details, click here.
