Art All Night Brings Late Night Arts to the H Street Corridor

You do not want to miss this year's Art All Night events on H Street. Art All Night is this Saturday, September 26th, and we have several events in our area. District-wide Art All Night events run from 7pm to 3am. If there's no start time listed for an event, you can probably safely assume it starts at 7pm (but ask when you check in at the Atlas). This year you'll find events in the following neighborhoods: Congress Heights, Dupont Circle, H Street NE, North Capitol and Shaw. Below you'll find the event descriptions from the Art All Night website (I'm adding/editing text, and dropping in my own photos in spots).

FEATURED INSTALLATION: “AIRE-VISUAL CONCERT FOR NOMADS”

Aire is a cinematic, musical and poetic piece designed as a site-specific visual concert created and directed by Laia Cabrera (filmmaker and video artist) and Javier Moreno (composition, double bass) in collaboration with Isabelle Duverger (animation and projection mapping), into an allegory of images traveling thought time and space and powerfully scored by an original musical suite for those seeking permanently, never having the feeling of forever. The multimedia show merges immersive video mapped projection design with performing arts by featuring video art and live visuals with an international concert ensemble.

Gallery OonH, East City Art and Event Marketing by Tia Kane present a mix of site-specific art and video installations, live music, fire sculptures, video presentations and dance. `

Luis Del Valle’s The Trouble Makers, an installation reflecting a contemplative journey into the enduring trials for equality and justice. John Miller’s Rare Music Video, a film depicting the mundane, cluttered life during the morning public transit commute. Rich Green’s SuPlox, a digital mapping art piece. Bot & Dolly’s short film The Creators explores the synthesis of real and digital space through projection-mapping on moving surfaces (at Box – Bay #1) and Albus Cavus’ Take a Peek, a window art installation inviting the audience to pause and dictate their ow imagination (at Box- Bay #2)
