Friday, September 11

Touchstone – 6pm to 8:30pm
Touchstone presents the opening of three new exhibitions for September. Join them for Layers in Gallery A, Metropolis in Gallery B, and Quarter Sections in Gallery C.

Join CHAW for Friday ARTnights. This Friday, guests can participate in a “Paint & Sip” session or learn about the art & history of burlesque.

Montpelier Arts Center hosts the opening of three new exhibitions; Chaotic Attractors: Fractal Art of Abdi Darai, Unique Visions by Richard Paul Weiblinger, and Come Together by Linda Bernard & Roslyn Logsdon.

Saturday, September 12

Anacostia Community Museum’s 2015 community family festival focuses on the theme Celebrating Cultural Diversity. Guests can enjoy live music, food vendors, and art activities for all ages.

Andrew Christenberry celebrates the closing of his show Convergence with an artist talk. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in demonstrations, discussion, and a celebration with the artist. 
Otis Street Arts Project is located at 3706 Otis St., Mount Rainier, MD 

CHAW – 5pm to 7pm
Photonegative features the work of photographer and CHAW teaching artist Joe Yablonsky. In his solo show, visitors are encouraged to explore the meaning behind the photographs of public sculptures.

Brentwood Arts Exchange – 5pm to 8pm
In The Art of the Tale, Ellen Cornett shows audiences her unique drawings and use of blank space to evoke surreal moments. Audiences are drawn to the emotions brought to the forefront of each work.

39th Street Gallery – 5pm to 8pm
Contradictions and That Line about Self-Destruction features the work of photographer Timothy Gerken. Gerken strives to create a narrative from the series of photographs while encouraging the viewer to see that story with their own lens.

Art Whino – 8pm to midnight
The 2015 G40 Art Summit brings together more than 150 worldwide street artists to celebrate their style.

Sunday, September 13

Fairwood Arts Festival – 3pm to 8pm
Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation hosts the Fairwood Arts Festival. There will be live performances, art and food vendors, and activities for the entire family.
