It's Hitchcocktober at the Angelika Pop Up
As Halloween draws ever closer, the Angelika Pop Up (550 Penn Street, behind Union Market) is celebrates with a special Hitchcock series they're calling dubbed "Hitchcocktober." The series kicks off tonight at 7:30pm with The Man Who Knew Too Much. Tickets for this show, and the rest of the Hitchcocktober films are $7 (plus $1.50 fee if you buy online, but it does let you reserve a particular seat).
The theater will show a different Hitchcock film for each of the remaining Thursday nights in October. Upcoming films include: Dial M for Murder, Rope, and Psycho. This is a terrific chance to see these classic suspense thrillers on a big screen, and I can tell you from experience that Psycho is far more amazing in a theater than at home. I've already bought my tickets for the screening on the 29th.
