MPD Seeks Assistance Following an Attempted Sexual Assault on Wylie
The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect in following an attempted sexual assault on Wylie Street. Monday night. At about 9pm a woman was walking on Wylie Street when a man grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her. The victim was able to escape her attacker without injury. Wylie is a single block street that runs from 12th Street to 13th Street in between H Street and I Street.
The suspect is described as a black male, short hair, mustache, 29-30 years old, medium to dark complexion, wearing a knee length brown hooded jacket, gold watch, black jeans, and brown boots.
Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. DC Crime Solvers currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.
