Local News Round Up

Untitled

It's spring and there is a tremendous amount of stuff happening in our little neck of the woods. So much so that I've fallen a bit behind in posting about some of the local news. It seemed like a series of round ups might be the best way to tackle this situation, so here we go.

Architects at Gallaudet University are doing amazing things that are completing redefining the concept of Deaf space, and Curbed DC is on the story.
1341 H Street, the building that Bullfrog Bagels, Star & the Shamrock, and others call home, is expanding to the rear, and way up. Washington Business Journal has the details.

Local food blog District Cuisine got a sneak peek inside Fare Well (406 H Street), the new vegan eatery coming to H Street from Sticky Fingers baker Doron Petersan.

The Washington Business Journal covers the recently opened Tavern at Ivy City Smokehouse. By the way, the Ivy City Smokehouse (1356 Okie Street) is a great place to buy raw fish, as well as smoked salmon and smoked whitefish salad.
