Kingman Island Bluegrass & Folk Festival Saturday
It's not too late to snag tickets for Saturday's Kingman Island Bluegrass & Folk Festival. Tickets are $25 if you buy them online by midnight Friday, or $35 at the gate. Kids under 13 are admitted free. The family friendly event is now in its seventh year, and features live music, food, drinks, kayaking, motorboat tours of the Anacostia River, a family tent with crafts and games, and more.
Feel free to bring leashed dogs, small soft-sided coolers, food and non-alcoholic drink (in reusable bottles and tupperware), and chairs and blankets. Tents are not permitted. Beer and cocktails are available for purchase at the festival, and you can buy beer tokens in advance online. All proceeds benefit Living Classrooms.

Lots of beer, politicians/government types patting themselves on the back and a little bit of music. What a aste of time.
