News in Brief: a Juice Bar, Silent Disco, & Magnus Derby Doings

District Cuisine reveals that the long-vacant former home of the Ohio Restaurant (1380 H Street) is slated to become a juice bar called Turning Natural. This will be Turning Natural's third location, and its second in the District. They sell juices, smoothies, cleanses, as well as a few solid food items like veggie patties and vegan cupcakes. The space has been vacant since the fall of 2006.

Bardo (1200 Bladensburg Road) is hosting a silent disco Friday May 13th from 10pm to 2am. The 21+ event features three djs. During a silent disco all participants wear headphones and can change the channel to select their preferred dj. Tickets range from $5 for the early bird to $20 at the door.

Jos. A Magnus Distillery (2052 West Virginia Ave) is hosting a Kentucky Derby party this Saturday from 12pm-midnight.

    I think that should be 1380 H St. NE for the Ohio...

    sounds good. hopefully it won't take 2-3 years to open. places on H take forever to open.
