Police are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect in a kidnapping and sexual assault that took place at 3 a.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Holbrook Street (Trinidad). The suspect forced the victim into her own car with an unknown weapon and instructed her to drive around. He then sexually assaulted her as she drove. She was able to escape when the car came to a stop. MPD released a description of the suspect as a black male with a dark complexion, 20-40 years of age, with shoulder-length dread locks. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. If you have any information about this crime you should call the police at 202-727-9099, or anonymously text them a tip at 50411. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons responsible.
There was also a stabbing in our area yesterday a little after 3:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of D Street. The alert included a look out for a black female. This follows another stabbing Saturday evening about 6:15 p.m. No look out was provided for this one.
