Local News Brief: Trinidad Neighborhood Clean Up & a Burger Pop Up

Join the Trinidad Neighborhood Association for a community clean-up Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Joe Cole Rec Center (1299 Neal St.). Bags will be provided, but please bring your own gloves. The organizers stress that how much of the neighborhood they can cover, and which areas get priority, is dependent on who shows up to volunteer.

Harvey's Market (Union Market, 1309 Fifth St.) is teaming up with Salt & Pepper Burger’s Michelin Star Chef Elias Tadesse for a two weekend burger pop up. The pop up will run from Oct. 7 through Oct. 9, and Oct. 14 through Oct. 16 (11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays) on Neal Place (the street in front of Union Market).

Two different menus (presumably for two different weekends):

1st Menu

• American cheese, Bib lettuce, pickled red onions, brown butter aioli
• THE ITALIAN
• Smoked mozzarella, Tomato confit, Arugula, spicy basil aioli.

2nd Menu

• THE CLASSIC

• THE BACON JAM
• Pepper jack Chesse, jalapeno bacon Jam, guacamole, bacon aioli.
