Stabbing in the 1300 Block of New York Avenue

There was a stabbing at 4:50 p.m. yesterday in the 1300 block of New York Avenue on the edge of Ivy City (near the Planet Fitness and MOM's). I haven't seen further details yet, but the text of the alert is below.

Alert: 5D stabbing at 1650hrs in the 1300 block of New York Ave NE. No lookout.

    as much as i hate to say this, i'm surprised this sort of thing hasn't happened more frequently. my heart goes out to the victim, but there are an awful lot of shady characters perambulating through that vicinity...
