NBC 4 is reporting that two bodies found inside a house in the 1700 block of Lyman Place about 2 a.m. yesterday morning were both men, and that police are saying they do not suspect foul play.
Capital Fringe (1358 Florida Ave.) is hosting a special live film series called Directed Actions four days this week (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday). The series consists of short films, discussion, and live music. The organizers hope to "create a space for content creators, and participants to connect about issues and working on solutions." Food from Chef Sora will be available. Tickets are $20, and this event is open to all ages.
Head down to Fringe on Inauguration day for RESIST: A Counter-Cabaret. The event description promises a "night for a cabaret of resistance performance by dancers, musicians, theater artists, comedians, clowns and more." With invitation urging attendees to "[c]ome to witness raw, creative responses to the election. Come for catharsis. Come for a drink. Let’s laugh, cry and rage together!" RESIST is a free event that is open to all ages.
