The Pursuit will hold a wine class this Sunday

I mentioned yesterday that the INTERSECTIONS Festival is coming up at the Atlas (1333 H St.) in late February, but did you know you can currently submit your own short film to the eXposure Short Film Festival? Selected films will be screened during INTERSECTIONS on Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 (filmmakers showing accepted films do not need to purchase tickets). The short film festival a partnership between the eXposure Media Project and BBNE (Black Business Network Exchange).

The Pursuit (1421 H St.) will hold a Let's Talk Wine class on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $39 and that includes a guided tasting of six wines, shared snacks, and a voucher for %20 off on your next visit. The price covers tax and gratuity.

The Washington Post reports that a man has died after being shot Tuesday afternoon about 2:40 p.m. behind a laundromat in the 1600 block of Benning Road (near the Starburst).

This alert appears to have originally gone out at 3 p.m. as a report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Benning Road SE. It included a look out for a black male wearing dark clothing. There was another alert that night at 9:56 p.m. for a shooting in the 1700 block of M Street. That one did not include any look out information.
