Local Briefing: Fare Well Founder Talks Shop, Stabbing at 8th & H, & Write Bloody Publishing at Fringe

The podcast Vegan Business Talk features an interview with Doron Petersan of Fare Well (406 H St.) and Sticky Fingers.




The alert went out at 6:48 p.m. last night for a stabbing in the 1100 block of H Street. According to an email from an MPD representative, a man "approximately 50 years of age...ran to the store at 1101 H St NE and advised that he had been stabbed several times. The original offense may have occurred at 8th and H St NE." The victim described his attacker a black male in his 20s dressed in all black.

Texas-based publishing house Write Bloody, which focuses on poetry, has partnered with Capital Fringe (1358 Florida Ave.) for the Super Party Author Showcase on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5, and the all ages event includes two hours of performance highlighting the works of ten authors:

Not *surprised* about the stabbing. It's f'ing scary on H after dark. There's a certain element that lurks between 6th and 9th.
