Stop by the Pug (1234 H St.) tonight for a Belfast-Beltway Boxing Project fundraiser (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.). You've likely seen posters for past events during visits to the Pug, but for those who might be wondering:
The Belfast-Beltway Boxing Project is a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for at-risk youth through cultural exchange and international athletic competition. The purpose of the Project is to offer an annual cultural and athletic exchange program, and also to provide equipment donations to non-profit organizations that offer athletic and after-school programs for young people. So take your friends, and raise a glass for a worthy cause.

Mr. President and The First Lady welcomed a new eaglet to their nest at the National Arboretum yesterday. Isn't the little guy (or girl) cute? Watch the happy family on the American Eagle Foundations eagle cams; it is amazing! Plus, that second egg is starting to hatch, so we may soon be able to watch two baby eagles.
