A look at what's going on in Trinidad, on H Street, and in the larger area north of Capitol Hill.

A MegaBus Obliterated a DC Streetcar Stop in the 300 Block of H Street Yesterday
The @DCPoliceTraffic tweet above shows the scene after a MegaBus plowed in a streetcar stop yesterday a little before 11:30 a.m. yesterday. The street was partially closed for about three hours following the crash. DCist reported that no one was injured. That's amazing, especially considering the photos below tweeted by a local ANC Commissioner.

This would not have happened if the Mega Bus used tracks like a streetcar. This is just one example of why streetcars are a superior mode of transportation.
well, DDoT had a crew out on Thursday, sawing what was left of the shelter out of the ground
I'd say they have most of the wreckage removed and need to start the rebuilding process.
If there isn't much custom stuff, they can probably get this fixed up in 2-3 weeks.
