A neighbor writes in with news about the Political Action Committee
Americans for Self-Rule and their Launch Party on Tax Day, April 18, from 6 p.m. to 8pm at the
H Street Country Club (1335 H St). The PAC "is creating a war-chest for DC residents that have paid federal taxes while we lack representation in Congress to end any Congressperson who meddles in local DC affairs (ahem, Jason Chaffetz)!"
The group is looking for like-minded folks who are concerned about things like assisted suicide, the District's gun laws, and our constantly attacked marijuana/alcohol laws to come together for the evening with fellow supporters who want to take the fight directly to Congress. Tickets are $51 and include two drinks. Food will be available for purchase. They'll even have a special Anti-Jason Chaffetz-themed putt-putt course!

I just did a quick qoogle search, it turns out Jason Chaffetz is not our mayor. Someone named Muriel Bowser is the real mayor of DC. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will be at the event to make sure we don't have any more fake mayors trying to run DC.
