Coffee & Community Clean-Up in Trinidad Saturday
Members of the Trinidad Neighborhood Association will hold a Coffee & Community Clean-Up Saturday 9:30 am–12 pm. The group will provide coffee to drink, and trash bags for the clean-up. Please bring your own gloves and coffee mug. Meet at Trinidad Recreation Center (1300 Childress Street NE).
DC Harvest Adds Friday Lunch
DC Harvest (517 H Street NE) will start begin serving lunch on Fridays starting next week (May 26). Lunch will be available for parties sitting down to dine between 11 am and 2:15 pm, but the restaurant will serve drinks and dessert until 3:45 pm.
DPW Gets an Early Start on Poor Air Quality & Higher Temperature Days
Remember that when it's really hot outside (forecast of 90 degrees or higher) or when we have an unhealthy air quality day (Code Orange or Code Red), the Department of Public Works (DPW) will start trash collection earlier than normal hours. On such a day collection begins at 6 am. You can put your cans out for collection as early as 6:30 pm the night before, and be sure to remove your cans from public space by 8 pm on trash day.
