Tonight: Future Tense Gets into Your Dog's Head
Future Tense will hold a happy hour conversation at Wunder Garten (1101 First Street NE) tonight to explore "what we know about how dogs think, how that informs their behavior, and their roles in our lives." Wunder Garten is a dog friendly outdoor beer garden, so feel free to bring your leashed four legged friend along.
The evening will start with registration and a reception at 6:30 pm, followed by the talk at 7:30 pm. They've got three awesome speakers lined up, and after the talk you will have the opportunity to fill out a survey and provide a doggy saliva sample for the citizen-science driven project Darwin's Dogs. The surveys and samples will contribute to research into the genetic basis for canine behavior, and conditions like obsessive-compulsive disorder and cancer.
You can also watch the conversation online with the hashtag #FTDogs, and by following @FutureTenseNow on Twitter. The full event runs 6:30–8:30 pm. It's free, and you can RSVP online.
