Daniel Olney's terra-cotta frieze "The Progress of the Negro Race" decorates a courtyard wall at Langston Terrace
Volunteers at a local Veterans' Day event got a special treat when they took part in a service project making repairs at the Langston Terrace Dwellings. The Langston Civic Association was one of the groups that that brought volunteers out to work that day, and they have photos posted on their website of Barack Obama shaking hands with thrilled volunteers and residents. I actually teared up seeing those pictures of President Obama. I really miss him in the White House.
This is exactly the kind of thing that demonstrates why Obama won twice and Hillary never will. Where are our future leaders?
