Local Briefing: The Pug Turns 11, Trader Joe's Update, & Toasted Bingo Tonight at Rock & Roll Hotel

The Pug (1234 H Street NE) celebrated its 11th birthday yesterday. I'm not going to say it's hard to believe it's been more than a decade since they opened, because at this point it sort of seems like the Pug's been open forever.

Rock & Rock Hotel (1353 H Street NE) hosts a special Valentine's Day Boozy Bingo, which they are now calling Toasted Bingo. The name seems apt due to the champagne specials the bar will run this Wednesday evening. The first game starts at 8pm on the 2nd floor. You must be at least 21 years of age to play. No charge to play.

A bit of an update on the Trader Joe's at 4th & Florida Avenue NE (1240 4th Street NE) comes to us via a @ker_dc tweet from last night's Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5D meeting. An Edens representative (the developer behind Union Market) gave a presentation on the Trader Joe's and said the store will open in March, and that they will start hiring soon. Employment applications will be accepted at the store starting on February 21st 10am–2pm and 5–7pm. They plan to hire about 100 people.

It's very important to celebrate birthday, and I'm happy to see this because The Pug celebrated its 11th birthday. and it's good to hear from them that even to them they don't believe its more than decade they opened. Wow happy to know it. Have great time!

9:47,
Yes, but the bot's also correct (and likely not trying to swing an election with this comment). Most important it is to celebrate birthday.
