NoMa's getting a farmers market! It's too early in the season for the summer produce shown above, but it's coming.
The new NoMa FRESHFARM Market kicks off this Sunday. The market will be held at 1150 First Street NE from 9am–1pm every Sunday through October 28th. You'll fruits, vegetables, breads, pastries, meats, eggs, preserves and pickles, and a variety of prepared foods, as well as fresh cut flowers. To celebrate the new market the first 50 people will receive a $5 token to spend at the market. All shoppers are invited to enter a drawing for $100 in market tokens to spend at any time this season. Alternative rock soloist A Note Two Self will liven up the market party.
