I strongly disagree that carrot cake doesn't make sense, but what does make sense is attending this upcoming show from comedian Jon Savitt at Dangerously Delicious Pies (1339 H St. NE). The show is free, but a $5 donation at the door is strongly encouraged and 100% of ticket sales go to the non-profit HIAS, which helps refugees worldwide. Join Savitt on Tuesday, Dec. 18 (8–11pm) "as he uses humor to explore topics including growing up, his Jewish identity, anti-Semitism, technology and more, in an effort to find meaning in a world that doesn’t make sense."
