Laos in Town (250 K St. NE) opens today in NoMa, and Laura Hayes from the Washington City Paper has all the details. I very excited about this one and you should be too. The full menu is posted along with the story, and note that the owners have set prices with the idea that they really want to keep the restaurant accessible and not to price people out. According to the article this means we can expect appetizers priced around "$6 to $8 and main dishes from $13- to $25."

In other food and drink related news, Jessica Sidman over at Washingtonian has a nice write-up on soon to open Don Ciccio & Figli distillery in Ivy City (1907 Fairview Ave., NE). The bar looks great, and the larger space will allow the distillery to greatly expand production.
