Now Hiring Venue Managers for the Annual Capital Fringe Festival

Capital Fringe (1358 Florida Ave. NE) is seeking Venue Managers for the 2019 Capital Fringe Festival. The Venue Manager acts as the primary point of contact of Capital Fringe to the artists, volunteers and patrons of their particular venue.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee fast-paced, repertory performance schedule for multiple productions
  • Assist and supervise Fringe artists during performances and technical rehearsals
  • Work with Box Office Staff to ensure good communication with patrons, and to get shows started on time
  • Handle technical problems or needs of artists with the assistance of production staff
  • Assist with load-in and load-out of all venues
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
  • Experience in a customer-facing role; event front of house or box office a plus
  • Possess excellent customer service, problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and a positive attitude
  • Working weekends and evenings will be required

TIME COMMITMENT AND COMPENSATION:
The Venue Manager is a seasonal contract position from July 1–August 2, 2019. The specific schedule is based on the performance calendar of each venue and will be discussed during the hiring process. There may be trainings that take place in late June, depending on availability. Salary is commensurate with experience and paid biweekly.
