Dave B: what next? In my dreams, the biggest loss H Street retail suffered after the riots is remedied when Chuck Levin's finally returns to H. Right now there's no comparable vendor anywhere in the District; and a store that was even a third as busy as the Wheaton store Chuck Levin's moved to would be a *lot* of people brought to H.

This is referenced in a post in another thread, but it appears Capitol Hill Towers @ 900 G Street just sold for $22 million. Very interesting.

OK, future news: two years after Harry Thomas Jr. gets out of prison, he'll be re-elected to the DC Council.

H J Thomas jr will not get reelected, if the new Councilmember is good at constituent services. That was the Thomas strength. However if a placeholder is elected, then no doubt he will be back.

Stealing money from constituents = "good constituent services". Only in DC.

He seems to have an eye on those bicycles down below- maybe he's saying this would make a fine bike store.

I shot this photo during the 2009 H Street Festival, so he's probably watching the crowd.
